One Man's Opinion Season 4 Ep. 68:
The Inspector at Yale Repertory Theatre
YouTube Theatre Review (4:20-4:45)
“…I do want to spotlight the ‘hidden gem’ of a performance that is Grayson Richmond as the German-only-speaking Doctor who doesn’t have much to say throughout the play—but when he does speak, the audience needs to pay close attention, even if you don’t speak German. Also, just watch his subtle acting in the background throughout most of the play. It’s the salient bit of honesty in an otherwise ostentatious orgy of obfuscation.”
"The Inspector" Asks All The Right Questions
written by Julia Sears for Arts Council of Greater New Haven
“The Doctor is monolingual German. Richmond plays this with authenticity and good humor, but when the Doctor is moved to confess his life story to Ivan, we see a different side of them both. The Doctor is deeply heartbroken, his story is clearly hard to tell. He repeats “mein Vater und meine Mutter” over and over again through tears.”
“The Inspector” at Yale Rep
written by Robert Schneider for Plays International
“Grayson Richmond plays the local doctor who pours out his heart to the faux inspector in German because he speaks no Russian. The actors have created characters as expressive as Daumier cartoons.”
Yale Rep Breaks Fourth Russian Wall
written by Aster Aguilar for New Haven Independent“Of particular highlight are Grayson Richmond as the doctor (who doesn’t speak a lick of English, yet goes through an entire dramatic arc of his own)...”

Rabbit Hole — Naatak’s 49th Production
written by Divya Mehta for The Foundations TV
“And last but not the least Grayson Richmond, his monologue was unbelievable soulful. He literally brought, heart to the character.”
Dealing with Grief Over a Son’s Loss
written by Archana Asthana for India Post
“Grayson Richmond excels in his role as a young lad, who dedicates an article he wrote for his school newspaper to the memory of Dev, who he is responsible for accidentally running over with his car.”
